2009/2010 Events

The Michael G. Belz Foundation was established on December 29th, 2009. Immediately after our establishment we began working to fulfill our mission of H.O.P.E. by coordinating a variety of fundraising and awareness events. Here are brief snapshots of some of the accomplishments of our first year.

logoBW3s Dine-2-Donate Fundraiser a Success! We had a successful Dine-2-Donate fundraising event at Buffalo Wild Wings in Strongsville, Ohio. Not only did we raise funds for the foundation, but also awareness about brain tumors. Thank you for all of your support! (Thank you also to the staff at BW3s who did an awesome job with the event)!

International Brain Tumor Awareness Week Video by MGBF The Michael G. Belz Foundation, along with other brain tumor organizations, joined forces with The International Brain Tumor Alliance and planned awareness events to help educate the world about brain tumors during 2010’s International Brain Tumor Awareness Week. The MGBF asked supporters to wear gray during the week to help raise awareness and to spread H.O.P.E. Supporters sent us photos of themselves. After collecting all of the photographs we created a video for the world to see that gray matters!
