4/14 Hearts and Hands Community Day, Mentor Mall
MGBF was at Mentor Mall offering visitors a chance to take a shot at a “Hole-in-One” and to win a MGBF prize! We spoke to many about the Michael G. Belz Foundation and spread brain tumor/brain cancer awareness and hope!

5/1-5/31 Brain Cancer Awareness Month
We asked our supporters…How gray can you go? Wear gray each day? Wear a gray ribbon? Change your profile pic on FB to gray? However they could wear gray, spread awareness and spread H.O.P.E.!

5/19  2nd Annual Dining for H.O.P.E.
The Michael G. Belz Foundation held the 2nd Annual Dining for H.O.P.E. on May 19, 2012 at Slim and Chubby’s in Strongsville, Ohio. 142 guests attended to support MGBF’s mission of H.O.P.E. as well as spread awareness about brain cancer and brain tumors. There was plenty of food, drinks, and prizes to go around…but most of all fun and the spirit of H.O.P.E.!

6/3 Race for the Place!
For the 3rd year in the row, team MGBF as we supported The Gathering Place for Race for the Place. We sported our own team shirts with the message, “Got H.O.P.E.?”. MGBF also hosted an awareness table and distributed literature and info to passersby.

8/5 MGBF Volunteer Event, Seven Hills Rec Center
Our first volunteer event was a sucess!

  • 15 volunteers
  • 144 golf towels folded
  • 250 marketing folders stuffed
  • over 400 ribbons (cut, folded and pin)!
  • 800+ info cards stapled with awareness bands

 And we still finished early with smiles on our faces! Thank you for your help!!

                        

 

8/18 3rd Annual Michael G. Belz Foundation Golf Outing, Hinckley Hills Golf Course
What a beautiful day! Thank you for supporting our foundation over the years! In 2010, we had approximately 86 golfers, in 2011 124 and this year approximately 144! It’s just incredible to see the growth and support over the years. We “hope” you enjoyed the day today and had fun and will join us again next year!

10/13: Brain Cancer Symposium
Brain cancer patients, caregivers, doctors, nurses and social workers gathered at this event to provide education & support to the brain tumor/cancer communitity. 10/28-11/3: International Brain Tumor Awareness Week
In support of The IBTA,  MGBF asked for everyone to send in gray and/or hope photos. We compiled all of the photos into a video of H.O.P.E. to spread awareness to the world!
